I built Rex to cover the whole thing end to end: an always-on Twitch chat bot for commands, timers and song requests, a Discord bot for music in voice chat, and OBS widgets for now playing and win tracking. One project, all free.

An always-on Twitch chat bot: viewers type !sr and it queues straight to your Spotify, plus custom commands, auto-messages, and basic moderation. Nothing installed on your PC.

What it does

Everything below is managed from your dashboard once you connect. No config files.

Custom commands

Add !discord, !socials, whatever you want. Cooldowns and permission levels built in.

Timers & auto-messages

Auto-post reminders on a repeating interval. Set it once, forget about it.

Moderation

Banned-word and link filtering with automatic timeouts, once the bot's a mod in your channel.

Song requests

!sr <song> queues straight to your Spotify. Needs Spotify Premium, same as any request bot.

Discord Bot

Play music in your Discord voice channel, on request.

One bot, one command. /play a song and it joins your voice channel and plays it.

Commands

Slash commands: type / in any channel it's in.

Show every track. Straight from Spotify.

Display the song and artist playing on your Spotify account from any device. It runs in the cloud and updates in OBS without an app on your PC.

Set up Now Playing in three steps.

Spotify Premium is required for playback access.

1. Sign inConnect Twitch and authorize your Spotify account.
2. Copy the URLYour private Now Playing URL lives on the dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Twitch bot, Discord bot, Now Playing overlay, and win counter are all free, by everex.

For song requests and the Now Playing overlay, yes. Spotify's API requires Premium for the playback control these features rely on, same as any request bot.

Only if you turn on moderation. Timeouts silently do nothing unless RexBot is a mod in your channel. Chat commands, timers, and song requests all work without it.

No. The Twitch bot, Discord bot, Now Playing overlay, and win counter all run in the cloud. There's an optional legacy Windows app for Now Playing if you'd rather run it locally, but it isn't required.
