Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what RexBot (“we”, “us”) collects and how it is used when you visit the RexBot website or use the Twitch bot, Discord bot, dashboard, overlays, and related services.

1. Information we receive

When you connect Twitch, we may receive your Twitch user ID, login, display name, avatar, broadcaster status, the email address on your Twitch account, and OAuth tokens needed to operate requested features. When you connect Spotify, we receive the account information and authorization needed for song requests and playback controls. The Discord bot receives server, channel, member, message, and interaction data that Discord makes available to a bot with the permissions you grant.

RexBot may store bot settings, custom commands, timers, moderation settings, song-request activity, queue state, overlay preferences, reaction-role mappings, and role-menu mappings. We may receive basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and error logs when you use the website.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, operate bot commands and overlays, save your configuration, provide moderation and analytics features, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and improve the Services. We do not sell personal information.

We use your email address only to contact you about RexBot. Service notices tell you about changes that affect your setup, such as a new overlay URL, and are on by default. News about new features is sent only if you opt in. You can turn either off from the Overview tab of your dashboard, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not share your email address with anyone except the email delivery provider used to send these messages.

3. Storage and security

Credentials and refresh tokens are stored with application-level protections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so do not place passwords, payment details, or other secrets in bot commands, messages, custom responses, or overlay settings.

4. Third-party services

RexBot connects to Twitch, Discord, Spotify, YouTube, Railway, Vercel, and other providers used to deliver the Services. Those providers process information under their own policies. We share only what is needed for the requested integration or required to operate and secure the Services.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain configuration and connection data while it is needed to provide the Services. You can disconnect integrations and request deletion of account data through the RexBot issue tracker or the contact options at everexmedia.ca. Operational backups and security logs may remain for a limited period.

6. Children

The Services are not directed to children who are below the minimum age required by the platforms they use. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the Services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
